Ukrainian Tax Alert | March 2020

On March 17, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada approved a package of special regulations that, in particular, introduce tax and non-tax exemptions and other measures in relation to countering of COVID-19 spread in Ukraine. Below we provide brief overview of such changes.

Ukraine has imposed quarantine amid coronavirus spread. Employers are recommended to organize work for their employees remotely. All entertainment facilities, shopping malls and educational institutions are closed. Banks, supermarkets and state authorities are still working.  Ukraine has temporary restricted entry to the country for foreigners.  Since March 17, the subways in the cities of Kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv are shut down.  Preventive measures will be in effect for three weeks from March 12, 2020 to April 3, 2020.
