Mandatory technical control for companies` cars was introduced
On May 19, 2023, the Government of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 514, which requires all companies` cars (cars registered on companies) with an operational life of more than two years to pass the technical control in Ukraine. The mentioned Resolution will enter into force on August 25, 2023.
The absence of technical control of cars belonging to the company after August 25, 2023, will create the risks of administrative liability for the drivers of such cars and for companies` officials, namely:
- imposition a fine in the amount of UAH 340 on company`s driver and in the case of repeated detection of the absence of technical control – a fine in the amount of UAH 850 to 1700 with deprivation of the right to drive cars for a period of 3 to 6 months or administrative arrest for a period of 5 to 10 days;
- imposing a fine on companies` officials in the amount of UAH 850 to UAH 2,550.
We recommend checking whether the cars owned by your company are subject to technical control and, if so, ensure passing the technical control by August 25, 2023.
